Making my list, and checking it twice!

It's true. Christmas is just around the corner. Just 68 days (don't worry, I Googled that, I really am not that clever or Christmas crazed).

But, I start planning for Christmas in October... mostly because between myself and Nate's family, we also have 7 birthdays that fall between November and January. Shopping early and spreading out the cost is key. But this year, starting early and spreading out the home crafted goods is key. Nate figures he won't see me at all for the next two months as I busily prepare my special items for the very special people in my life. My workshop is going to be very busy, and I hope I can get everything completed that I want to. I will try to sneak in a few personal projects of my own so that you'll still have something to see on the blog - since I can't really reveal projects that are gifts. That goes against the whole principle!

This year, I'm tackling my projects a little bit differently. I am writing down a goal each week of what needs to get done. I'm hoping this will keep me on track.

How about you? Are you starting to think about Christmas and make lists of your own? What sort of preparations do you make for the upcoming holiday season?

HA this year I managed to get names drawn BEFORE December 1st, a challenge in NEil's family and I ma done two people already, not wrapped mind you but semi-accomplished. I am almost done making my "created gifties" have about 1/3rd left to go, so I figure by November I should be good. Do I get brownie points? I made an attempt to get started earlier this year, so far so good:)
