As a gift when my daughter was born, I was given a journal where I could write down all the things she does so that I wouldn't forget. I have been dutifully writing in it since she was four days old. But lately, there has been an absence of writing in that journal. Somewhere in the past months, gradually, the amazing things she does have become part of our everyday. I realized this the past few days as I would see the journal sitting on my bedside table, but didn't feel the need to pick it up and jot anything down. Then yesterday, I called my Mom to tell her something about Grace, and she laughed - alot. She thought it was absolutely funny. So, last night, and this morning, I'm wondering when did the little silly things that Grace does, become to me, an everyday occurence? I used to record every new word, and when all of her new teeth appeared. Her bottom molars started breaking through a week ago and I never made note of it. Perhaps it is because I'm online blogging that her journal has gathered some dust. I'm not sure but I feel like I have been given a gentle nudge to continue on with her book. My Mom told me once that she had done the same thing for me but when I was around five, decided it was a silly idea, and threw it out! GASP! I know. I have promised myself that I won't do that to Grace. I still don't know the best time to give it to her - University, her wedding day? Lots of time to figure that part out at least....
Anyways, here's the 'more' bit from the title. Remember when I posted that I was going to get the scrapbook for 'A day in my life' complete in a week? Ha! But, I have been keeping the photos and journalling items out, so that everytime I make it down to my craft room, I'm reminded to work on it a bit. So last night, I got a few more pages done...

I love how they are turning out. This now puts me halfway through day 2 so I have a ways to go.
The purpose of going downstairs last night though was to prep for my
Ink Paper Create card challenge post for today. The post goes up at 5 pm, but here's a sneak peek of the card I made for it. Now can you figure out what the challenge is?? I'll give you a bonus entry for the October 'Candy' if you can!

I totally understand! I used to write down the new things Lexi was doing and I have not done that in a long time. I should start writing things down again...
