Are you all ready for some great linkage?
For those of you who need some background, back in December I threw out the idea of having an international book exchange. Each person participating would be matched up with someone else, and would need to send that person one of their favorite books they had read (new, not used). All in time for Valentine's Day.
Overall we had 11 bloggers participate, including myself. I enjoyed this so much (and the titles of books that came from it) that I'm thinking of hosting it again in a few months - perhaps August. Right before school starts for those of us in my neck of the woods. Before the cool crisp mornings of fall set in.
Enough of the jibber jabber. Here we go:
In no particular order:
The Blogger, The Book they Received, and by Whom:
Sophie, "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver, Given by Shelly
Tacha, "Love in the Tim of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Given by Tina
Shelly, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho & "For One More Day" by Mitch Albom, sent by Moi.
Alicia, "Animal , Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver, Given by Elizabeth
Meghan, "Wife in the North" by Judith O'Reilly, Given by Maribeth
Elizabeth, "Riven" by Jerry B. Jenkins, Given by Sophie
Erin, "A Suitable Boy" by Vikram Seth, Given by Tacha
Maribeth, "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb, Given by Alicia
Tina, "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldron, Given by Meghan
Me, "Peace Like A River" by Leif Enger and "A Song I knew by Heart" by Bret Lott, Given by Elizabeth
Elizabeth, "Home from Vinyl Cafe" by Stuart McLean, Given by Erin
It was so neat to see there were only two duplicate books, and many titles I have never heard of. Animal, Veg. Miracle is next on the list for the Simple Mom book club. I'm excited to see that it is obviously going to be a great read!
Would love to hear some feedback on what you all think of the books you received. I have put up a link on my sidebar to this post. Feel free to stop in and leave a comment once you are done.
Enjoy & thanks again! It was so wonderful getting to meet some new friends through something as good as a great book!

What a fun idea! I'll keep watch in case you decide to do it again. I'd love to play!
I loved participating, and would love to do it again! Actually, I sent "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" to Sophie! And I just love the books you sent me. I'm planning on blogging about them tomorrow (I'm a little behind on my blogging...). Happy V day!
