He's finished! (Nothing like last minute heh?)

Let's start at the beginning. There was a store close to us that recently closed down, that had these very odd looking red, stretchy fabric dolls at the back of it's store. Grace loved them. Everytime we went she would go to the back, pick them up, and cart them around with her til we left. I am not sure they were supposed to look like people, and they definetely weren't animals. Perhaps a cartoon figure I had never seen?
In anycase, when Shelli posted up the Love Bear for the Valentine's Stitch Along, the odd dolls were the first things that sprung to mind as inspiration.
I took the 'idea' of the Love Bear, and well.... I made it into an actual stuffed bear. Out of red stretchy fabric, just like the dolls. It still looks rather odd - just not as odd as the original dolls he is inspired from. Perhaps it is the fact that they are made out of 95% spandex, and bright red at that?
I am tempted to not show you.... will this suffice?
Did you notice I embroidered him a tail? Ok, you want a bit more..... how about this?
Evidence that he is greatly loved, as he was quickly put with her other two favorite toys - Sam the Otter and 'Dragon' the um, Dragon. (Clever naming eh?).
I will leave it at that - because despite that my daughter is totally sold on him, I'm not sure I am. If you would REALLY like to see him upclose, turned around, and fully splayed out for you all, you will have to bribe me in the comments.
I will be back tomorrow with the Big Book Exchange Book Reveal! Woot!
